Library Saves Time and Effort with New Application::

Problem

A corporate library required a cost effective way to catalogue and maintain detailed descriptions of its extensive media collection. Existing programs seemed too complicated, slow, and expensive for their needs.

Solution

Using a Microsoft Standards based web application, the team designed a custom application to the customer's specification. Elements included accessibility of the management tool from any computer on the network; ability to manage thousands of media titles and descriptions; significant metadata about each title available for review; automatic retrieval and processing of basic media descriptions; and an option for the system to suggest shelving locations to comply with library parameters.

Result

Existing and new media assets were easily catalogued through a user-friendly and automated interface, and the system made searching for assets by title, author, or category simple and quick.
